Good family day

Went to Legoland last month with the kids. We got the Day Tickets online beforehand, which saved a bit of money. It was pretty busy, but we still managed to get on most of the main rides like Pirate Falls Treasure Quest and Deep Sea Adventure. The food was okay, standard theme park stuff. The kids had a blast, which is the main thing. Worth it for a day trip.

Day trip was great

We bought Day Tickets for an off-peak weekday back in May, specifically to avoid the huge crowds. The online booking process was pretty straightforward; picked our date, added the tickets, and the confirmation email with the e-tickets arrived almost instantly. Printed them out just in case, but they scanned fine from my phone. Parking was easy to pre-book too, though it's still a bit of a trek from the main gates. Rides like Flight of the Sky Lion and Ninjago The Ride were big hits. The staff seemed well-trained, and the park was clean. Food was pricey, as expected. Overall, a solid day out for the kids.

So much fun!

Just got back from LEGOLAND Windsor and it was incredible! We stayed at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel and it was just perfect, the kids absolutely loved the themed rooms. Booking was super easy online and everything was ready when we arrived. The rides, especially Dragon Coaster, were so much fun, and the shows were fantastic. We are definitely coming back again! Highly recommend it to anyone with little ones.

Hey, thinking of taking my little one to Legoland. He's 4. Is it really for that age group or more for older kids?

S Sofia P. 4 days ago
Oh yeah, totally fine for 4. My niece was obsessed at that age. There's a whole DUPLO area that's perfect.

They say 2-12, so 4 is definitely in the sweet spot. Plenty of gentle rides and things to see. They won't be able to do the big coasters but tons for them.

Anyone know if you can bring your own food and drinks into the park? Or do you have to buy everything there?

D Daniel R. 1 month ago
Yep, totally fine to bring your own picnic. Saved us a ton of money. They've got lockers too if you don't want to carry it all day.

We always take a packed lunch and snacks. Saves a fortune and means you don't have to queue for food. They have plenty of picnic spots.

Is it worth staying at one of the Legoland hotels or is it just super overpriced for what you get?

R Rachel Hernandez 1 week ago
Honestly, we stayed at the Resort Hotel and it was super fun for the kids. Gets you in earlier sometimes too, which is a big plus. Totally depends on your budget though.

I've heard the Castle Hotel is a bit more themed. Might be worth it for the 'experience' if you're really into that, but you can definitely find cheaper places nearby if you just need a bed.

Anyone used one of those 2 for 1 vouchers from Kellogg's or something like that? How do you actually apply it when booking online?

A Abigail R. 1 week ago
Yeah I used a Cadbury one last year. You gotta pre-book online, there's usually a field for 'promo code' or 'voucher code' right at the start of the booking process, before you even pick dates.

D Daniel Ramirez 1 week ago
Just make sure you put it in early. If you get too far into the booking it might not let you go back. And most of those vouchers aren't for walk-up tickets, gotta do it online first.

Does Legoland do an NHS discount? Trying to plan a trip but tickets are adding up.

S Susan Garcia 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually do. I'd check the Blue Light Card website, it's often handled through there. That's how I got mine.

I think so! Also worth checking for Merlin Annual Pass discounts if you know anyone with one, sometimes they can get you a deal.

How long would you say is good for a visit? Like, can you do most of it in one day or is it better to stretch it to two?

K Kyle E. 6 days ago
If you go during peak times, definitely two days. It gets super busy. One day is fine if you're super strategic or it's a quiet weekday.

We did one day during a school holiday and it felt rushed. So much to see and lines for the popular rides can be long. If you want to do everything and not feel stressed, two days is better.

Thinking of going on a Sunday vs a Monday during term time. Any real difference in crowds?

D Daniel Miller 4 weeks ago
Monday term time would be way quieter than a Sunday, generally. Sundays can still get pretty packed, especially if the weather's good.

B Ben Williams 3 weeks ago
Yeah, always aim for a weekday outside of school holidays if you can. Sundays are better than Saturdays, but Mondays are usually your best bet for fewer people.
